11 Newcomb Street
Located along the Washington Street corridor, this once forgotten stretch of the South End lies between Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard and serves as the gateway to the city’s historic Dudley Square.
Immediately met with strong support and great enthusiasm from local residents, the redevelopment of this former youth center served as a catalyst for several other area improvements and developments.
Beginning in the Winter of 2014 Urban Core Development in conjunction with Boston Real Estate Collaborative redeveloped this 18,000sqft 4 story building into 14 residential apartments ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedroom units. The project was ready for occupancy in the Fall of 2015.
Designed by Vanko Studio Architects, built by Haycon Construction, and financed by Needham Bank; this project was as of right and no zoning relief was necessary.
